Air-Care electrostatic filters are EPA registered and feature a size of 10"x10"x1" with a MERV rating of 8. These electrostatic air filters utilize static electricity, generated by air flowing through a maze of static-prone fibers, to effectively clean the air. Airborne particles are attracted and retained by the static charge until the filter is washed. The filters are constructed with a silver frame made from a single piece of roll-formed galvanized steel, fastened at one corner with a rivet, while the filter material is secured in place by fibers catching on the expanded metal support. Compared to banks of 20 or 40+ 2" thick pleated filters commonly used in commercial air systems, Air-Care's high arrestance, low resistance permanent filters provide an economical alternative to disposable filters. Key features include a limited lifetime warranty, anti-microbial filter media, and high capacity for dust and particle retention. The filters do not require replacement, promote cleaner air, do not emit harmful ozone, reduce pollen, dust, and airborne pollutants, and contribute to less frequent housecleaning.
