Air-Care electrostatic filters are EPA registered and designed to enhance air quality with the Air-Care 16"x20"x4" wide frame electrostatic air filter - MERV 8. These filters maintain the same excellent features as standard models while offering increased depth and versatility for various filtration needs. Utilizing static electricity, the filters generate an electrostatic charge as air passes through a maze of static-prone fibers, which attract and hold airborne particles until they can be washed away. The silver frame is constructed from a single piece of roll-formed galvanized steel, secured at one corner with a rivet, while the filter material is held in place by fibers connecting to expanded metal support and airflow. Unlike many commercial air systems that utilize multiple 2" thick pleated filters, these high arrestance, low resistance permanent filters serve as a cost-effective alternative to disposable options.
