Every cabinet includes a high-security key lock with two keys, located on the top drawer, which unlocks all drawers simultaneously. A lock-bypass mechanism also allows selected drawers to remain unlocked while others stay locked. The cabinets are fire rated for 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 hour, tested at 1700 degrees Fahrenheit, and explosion tested at 2000 degrees Fahrenheit, meeting industry standards for fire protection. They are impact rated, having undergone a test that simulates dropping the cabinet from 30 feet onto concrete rubble, followed by reheating in a fire, ensuring protection during structural collapses. The water-resistant design features the Phoenix Labyrinth sealing system and special gaskets to mitigate water damage from fire hose spray or sprinklers. Additionally, the cabinets provide digital protection for computer storage devices, such as CDs, DVDs, USB drives, and memory sticks/cards. Each drawer acts as a separate insulated container with an inner steel jacket to prevent fire from spreading and to secure access to locked drawers. The cabinets are finished with an extremely durable oven-baked textured enamel paint.
