The Rotary File Cabinet Adder Unit is designed for legal-size files and features six shelves in a light gray finish. This innovative double-sided, rotating shelf unit significantly enhances storage capacity by accommodating more than twice the files while minimizing the required space compared to traditional filing systems, allowing for quick and easy access to stored materials. The specifications include an EZ2® base constructed from 13 gauge steel with 13 gauge steel-formed U-channel reinforcements, measuring 4" wide x 3-1/2" deep, providing a robust structure capable of supporting the cabinet's weight. Each corner features a welded steel 11 gauge gusset for added strength, and the base is equipped with four adjustable leveling feet for easy leveling. The base mechanism allows 90° indexing of the rotary file cabinet without the need for a foot pedal. The unit comprises four upright posts made from 11 gauge steel, secured with dual durometer PVC closing strips, and bolted directly to the base with two 1/4" - 20 flat head bolts per post. A lock assembly with a locking rod is situated on the right front post, featuring random-keyed locks for enhanced security. The lock bar is constructed from 3/8" diameter steel rod, ensuring maximum durability, and provides easy key changes with a field removable core. The rotary bottom of the EZ2® unit is supported by hardened steel ball bearings, with the letter size unit featuring a 19-1/4" diameter bearing cage containing 22 ball bearings, while the legal size unit has a 24" diameter bearing cage with 44 ball bearings, both pivoting on a 3/4" diameter pin for smooth operation.
