The kit utilizes the DIN 43589-1 form factor, which has been specially configured for North American fast charging systems and includes AWG/MM contacts and tooling. It supports up to 4 auxiliary contacts and can be used for battery monitoring and charging. The design features low mating forces, allowing connectors to be mated and unmated without the necessity of added hardware. A hexagonal voltage key enables compatibility with voltage levels of 24V, 36V, 48V, 72V, 80V, and 96V, ensuring that different operating voltages cannot be mistakenly mated. The 'A' series connectors are specifically designed for American Wire Gauge cable and comply with MEE: DIN-Norm/DIN-Standard DIN43589.
