The kit utilizes the DIN 43589-1 form factor, specifically configured for North American fast charging systems and features AWG/MM contacts and tooling. It includes up to 4 auxiliary contacts that can be utilized for battery monitoring and charging, and is designed for low mating forces, allowing connectors to be mated and unmated without the necessity of added hardware. The hexagonal voltage key supports voltages of 24, 36, 48, 72, 80, and 96V, preventing the mating of connectors from different operating voltages. The 'A' series connectors are designed for American Wire Gauge cable and comply with MEE: DIN-Norm/DIN-standard DIN43589.
