It accommodates AWG/mm contacts and tooling and supports up to 4 auxiliary contacts, making it suitable for both battery monitoring and charging applications. The design features low mating forces, allowing for connectors to be mated and unmated without the need for additional hardware. It includes a hexagonal voltage key compatible with 24, 36, 48, 72, 80, and 96V, which prevents the mating of different operating voltages. The 'A' series connectors are tailored for American Wire Gauge cable and comply with MEE: DIN-Norm/DIN-standard DIN43589.
