The kit utilizes the DIN 43589-1 form factor, specifically configured for North American fast charging systems, and includes AWG/MM contacts along with tooling. It features up to 4 auxiliary contacts that can be used for battery monitoring and charging, providing low mating forces that allow connectors to be mated and unmated without the necessity of added hardware. The design incorporates a hexagonal voltage key for 24V, 36V, 48V, 72V, 80V, and 96V, which prevents the mating of different operating voltages. The 'A' series connectors are compatible with American Wire Gauge cable and conform to MEE: DIN-Norm/DIN-standard DIN43589.
