The kit utilizes the DIN 43589-1 form factor, specifically configured for North American fast charging systems, featuring AWG/MM contacts and tooling. It includes up to 4 auxiliary contacts that can be employed for battery monitoring and charging, and is designed with low mating forces to allow connectors to be mated and unmated without the need for additional hardware. A hexagonal voltage key facilitates compatibility with voltages of 24V, 36V, 48V, 72V, 80V, and 96V, preventing the mating of connectors with differing operating voltages. The 'A' series connectors are designed for American Wire Gauge cable and comply with MEE: DIN-Norm/DIN-Standard DIN43589.
