The kit utilizes the DIN 43589-1 form factor, specially configured for North American fast charging systems, and includes AWG/mm contacts and tooling. It supports up to 4 auxiliary contacts, making it suitable for battery monitoring and charging applications. The design features low mating forces, allowing connectors to be mated and unmated without the necessity of added hardware. Additionally, a hexagonal voltage key accommodates multiple voltage options of 24, 36, 48, 72, 80, and 96V, which prevents the mating of different operating voltages. The 'A' series connectors are compatible with American Wire Gauge cable and comply with MEE: DIN-Norm/DIN-standard DIN43589.
