The kit utilizes the DIN 43589-1 form factor, specially configured for North American fast charging systems, and includes AWG/MM contacts and tooling. It supports up to 4 auxiliary contacts, making it suitable for battery monitoring and charging applications. The design features low mating forces, allowing connectors to be mated and unmated without additional hardware. It also includes a hexagonal voltage key compatible with 24, 36, 48, 72, 80, and 96V systems, which prevents the mating of different operating voltages. The 'A' series connectors are specifically designed for American Wire Gauge cable and align with the MEE: DIN norm/DIN standard DIN43589.
