The kit utilizes the DIN 43589-1 form factor, specifically configured for North American fast charging systems, and includes AWG/MM contacts and tooling. It supports up to 4 auxiliary contacts, making it suitable for battery monitoring and charging with low mating forces. Connectors can be mated and un-mated without the necessity of added hardware, featuring a hexagonal voltage key for 24, 36, 48, 72, 80, and 96V, which prevents the mating of different operating voltages. The 'A' series connectors are designed for American Wire Gauge cable and comply with DIN-Norm/DIN-standard DIN43589.
