The kit utilizes the DIN 43589-1 form factor, specifically configured for North American fast charging systems, and includes AWG/MM contacts and tooling. It supports up to four auxiliary contacts, making it suitable for battery monitoring and charging applications. The design features low mating forces, allowing connectors to be mated and un-mated without the necessity of additional hardware. A hexagonal voltage key is provided for voltage levels of 24V, 36V, 48V, 72V, 80V, and 96V, ensuring that different operating voltages cannot be mated. The 'A' series connectors are designed for American Wire Gauge cables and conform to the MEE: DIN-Norm/DIN-Standard DIN43589.
