The kit utilizes the DIN 43589-1 form factor, specifically configured for North American fast charging systems, and is designed to accommodate AWG/MM contacts and tooling. It includes up to 4 auxiliary contacts that can be employed for battery monitoring and charging. The connectors feature low mating forces, allowing for easy mating and unmating without the need for additional hardware. A hexagonal voltage key is incorporated to support voltages of 24V, 36V, 48V, 72V, 80V, and 96V, which prevents the mating of connectors with different operating voltages. The 'A' series connectors are suitable for American Wire Gauge cable and comply with MEE: DIN-NORM/DIN-STANDARD DIN43589.
