Tripp Lite's Smart 1000RM2U is an intelligent, line-interactive sine wave rack/tower uninterruptible power supply designed to prevent data loss, downtime, and equipment damage caused by power outages, voltage fluctuations, and transient surges. The unit requires only two rack spaces (2U) in a standard rack enclosure and features large internal batteries that provide 17 minutes of runtime at half load and 7 minutes at full load. It maintains a regulated 120V nominal output without using battery power during brownouts and overvoltages ranging from 83 to 147V, with a power handling capability of 1000VA/700 watts, suitable for networking, telecom, and other sensitive electronic applications. The UPS includes six outlets arranged in two load banks, which can be controlled individually through a software interface for rebooting select equipment or shedding less significant loads to extend runtime for critical equipment. It supports simultaneous remote monitoring of UPS and site power conditions via a built-in network accessory card slot, USB, and DB9 serial monitoring ports. An optional SNMPWEBCARD accessory allows for remote monitoring as a managed device through network management console applications. The communication ports provide detailed UPS operating parameters and line power status notifications. Included is PowerAlert UPS monitoring and unattended shutdown software, capable of managing an unlimited number of network UPS systems. The built-in accessory slot supports SNMP with the optional SNMPWEBCARD adapter. An emergency power off (EPO) interface is available for instant power-off of the UPS and connected equipment in emergency situations. Multi-function audible alarms and five front panel LEDs provide at-a-glance notifications of UPS and line power status. Network-grade AC surge suppression protects equipment from damage due to transient surges and line noise.
