This switched, metered, 2U rack PDU supports a maximum capacity of 30A at 120V (agency de-rated to 24 amps) and includes an attached L5-30P input plug along with 16 5-15/20R switched outlets arranged in two separately breaker banks. It features visual and remote current monitoring that tracks the current for each 8 outlet bank individually, as well as total power consumption for all 16 outlets combined. The device is designed for 2U rackmount installation in 19-inch 4 post rack enclosures, and the 2POSTRMKITWM option enables installation in 2 post relay racks. Included cord retention brackets ensure that vital network equipment remains plugged in and continuously powered. The switched PDU systems can be accessed, configured, and controlled through a secure web, SNMP, or Telnet interface, allowing for the remote reboot of unresponsive network hardware via individually switched outlets. User-defined power-up and power-down outlet sequences are available to ensure proper operation of interdependent IT systems and to prevent inrush-related overloads as devices are powered on. Additionally, programmable load-shedding of less critical devices at user-defined intervals extends UPS uptime in response to power failures. Unused PDU outlets can be electronically locked-off to prevent the powering of unauthorized hardware, and PDU power consumption is displayed locally while being monitorable via the web/network interface, with user-defined alarms to warn of potential overloads. An optional EnviroSense temperature/humidity probe enables remote monitoring of in-rack environmental conditions and alarms for up to 3 user-supplied contact-closure sensors. The system supports real-time monitoring, notification, and logging of all on-board reporting functions with user-specified alarm thresholds and actions for each reported condition.
