The Makita® LS1219L is a 12" dual-bevel sliding compound miter saw equipped with a laser, which combines capacity, accuracy, and efficient dust extraction in a compact design. This model features a unique 2-steel rail sliding system that allows operation flush against a wall, enhancing its space efficiency. The innovative direct-drive gearbox and guard system provide an increased vertical cutting capacity for baseboard (6-3/4") and crown molding (8" nested) and can achieve 15" crosscuts at 90 degrees. The saw can miter from 0° to 60° left and right, with positive stops at common angles, while the bevel lock located at the front enables easy access and adjustments from 0° to 48° left and right. Powered by a 15 amp direct drive motor with soft start, the saw offers smooth start-ups and consistent power without belts to slip or replace. An electric brake enhances operational convenience and electronic speed control ensures constant speed under load for higher-quality cuts. Additional features include a high-quality 60T carbide-tipped blade, a see-through blade guard system for better visibility, and a built-in laser for precise cutting. It is equipped with dual dust collection ports for improved dust management, compatible with an included bag or a separately sold vacuum, and has a large-sized aluminum base to enhance stability during cutting tasks.
