The Rotary File Cabinet Starter Unit is designed to provide efficient storage with a space-saving double-sided, rotating shelf unit, accommodating more than twice the files compared to traditional systems while ensuring quick access to stored materials. It features a base constructed from 13 gauge steel, reinforced with steel-formed U-channels measuring 4" wide x 3-1/2" deep that extend across the entire base for enhanced structural integrity, supported by welded 11 gauge gussets at each corner. The unit includes four adjustable leveling feet for easy leveling and mechanisms for 90° indexing without the requirement of a foot pedal. Each cabinet contains four upright posts made of 11 gauge steel with dual durometer PVC closing strips, secured to the base with 1/4" - 20 flat head bolts. A lock assembly is conveniently located on the right front post, featuring a durable lock bar made from 3/8" diameter steel rod, with field-removable cores for flexible key changes and the option for installation on both sides of the unit. The rotary bottom utilizes 5/8" diameter hardened steel ball bearings for smooth operation, with a 19-1/4" diameter bearing cage containing 22 ball bearings for the letter size unit and a 24" diameter cage with 44 ball bearings for the legal size unit, pivoting on a 3/4" diameter pin.
