The Rotary File Cabinet Adder Unit is designed for legal-sized documents and features four shelves in a light gray finish. This innovative system includes a double-sided, rotating shelf unit that efficiently houses more than twice the files in less space compared to traditional filing systems, ensuring quick and easy access to stored materials. The specifications include a base constructed from 13 gauge steel with 13 gauge steel-formed U-channel reinforcements, providing a 4" wide x 3-1/2" deep cross-section running the full length and width of the base, which is MIG welded for added rigidity. Each corner features a welded 11 gauge gusset for enhanced strength. The base is equipped with adjustable leveling feet and offers 90° indexing without the need for a foot pedal. The unit incorporates four upright posts made from 11 gauge steel with dual durometer PVC closing strips, bolted to the base and featuring a lock assembly conveniently located on the right front post. The lock bar is made from 3/8" diameter steel rod, providing durability, and allows for easy key changes with its field removable core. The rotary bottom utilizes 5/8" diameter hardened steel ball bearings for smooth operation, with the letter size unit having a 19-1/4" diameter bearing cage and 22 ball bearings, while the legal size unit features a 24" diameter bearing cage with 44 ball bearings. The rotor bottom pivots on a 3/4" diameter pin and mating surface, ensuring robust performance.
