The Rotary File Cabinet Adder Unit is designed for letter-sized documents and features two shelves in a bone white finish. This innovative rotary file cabinet allows for efficient storage with a double-sided, rotating shelf unit capable of holding more than twice the quantity of files compared to traditional filing systems while ensuring quick and easy access to materials. Specifications include an EZ2® base constructed from 13 gauge steel reinforced with 13 gauge steel U-channel reinforcements, featuring a 4" wide x 3-1/2" deep cross-section running the full length and width of the base. This base, MIG welded for structural integrity, includes welded steel 11 gauge gussets at each corner for added strength and stability, along with four adjustable leveling feet for top-level adjustment. The mechanism allows for 90° indexing of the rotary file cabinet without the need for a foot pedal. Each unit has four upright posts made from 11 gauge steel with dual durometer PVC closing strips, bolted to the base using (2) 1/4" - 20 flat head bolts per post. A lock assembly, conveniently located on the right front post, features a removable core for easy key changes and can be installed on either side of the unit, allowing it to lock in both open and closed positions. The rotary bottom rides on the base, supported by a 5/8" diameter hardened steel ball bearing system; the letter size model includes a 19-1/4" diameter bearing cage with 22 ball bearings, while the legal size model has a 24" diameter bearing cage with 44 ball bearings, with the rotor bottom pivoting on a 3/4" diameter pin.
