The Rotary File Cabinet Starter Unit is designed for legal-size files and features three shelves in a light gray finish. This innovative cabinet incorporates a double-sided, rotating shelf unit that maximizes file storage capacity while minimizing space usage, allowing for quick and easy access to documents. The base is constructed from 13-gauge steel and reinforced with 13-gauge steel-formed U-channel reinforcements that measure 4" wide x 3-1/2" deep. These MIG-welded channels provide a robust structure capable of supporting the cabinet's weight, while 11-gauge welded steel gussets at each corner enhance strength and rigidity. The base is equipped with four adjustable leveling feet for easy leveling and features a mechanism that allows for 90° indexing without the need for a foot pedal. Each unit includes four upright posts made from 11-gauge steel, bolted to the base with 1/4" - 20 flat head bolts. Additionally, a lock assembly with a locking rod is located on the right front post, featuring a lock bar made from 3/8" diameter steel rod for durability. The lock core is easily removable for key changes, and locks can be installed on either side of the unit, allowing it to be secured in both the open and closed positions. The rotary bottom rides on the base, supported by hardened steel ball bearings; the letter size unit features a 19-1/4" diameter bearing cage with 22 ball bearings, while the legal size unit has a 24" diameter bearing cage with 44 ball bearings. The rotor bottom pivots on a 3/4" diameter pin and offers stability and smooth operation.
