The Rotary File Cabinet Starter Unit is designed for legal files and features two shelves in a bone white finish. This innovative rotary file system maximizes storage efficiency by accommodating over twice the files compared to traditional filing cabinets, while ensuring quick access to stored materials. The specifications include an EZ2® base constructed from 13 gauge steel reinforced with 13 gauge U-channel supports, which feature a 4" wide x 3-1/2" deep cross-section, MIG welded to form a sturdy structure capable of withstanding substantial weight. At each corner, 11 gauge welded gussets enhance strength and stability, complemented by four adjustable leveling feet for easy leveling from the top. The base facilitates 90° indexing without the need for a foot pedal. The unit comprises four upright posts made of 11 gauge steel with dual durometer PVC closing strips, bolted to the base with two 1/4" - 20 flat head bolts per post. A lock assembly with a locking rod is integrated into the right front post, featuring random-keyed locks made from a 3/8" diameter steel rod, allowing for field-removable cores for easy key changes and installation options on both sides of the unit, which can be locked in both open and closed positions. The rotary bottom operates on 5/8" diameter hardened steel ball bearings, with a letter size unit featuring a 19-1/4" diameter bearing cage holding 22 ball bearings, and the legal size unit equipped with a 24" diameter bearing cage housing 44 ball bearings, with the rotor pivoting on a 3/4" diameter pin.
