The Rotary File Cabinet Starter Unit is designed for legal-sized files and features two shelves in a light gray finish, optimizing workspace by saving time, space, and money. The innovative double-sided, rotating shelf unit accommodates more than double the files compared to traditional filing systems, facilitating quick and easy access to stored materials. The specifications include an EZ2® base constructed from 13 gauge steel with 13 gauge steel-formed U-channel reinforcements, featuring a 4" wide x 3-1/2" deep cross-section running the full length and width of the base. The channels, MIG welded to the base, create a rigid structure capable of supporting the cabinet's weight, with additional strength provided by welded 11-gauge steel gussets at each corner. The base has four adjustable leveling feet for top-level adjustments and offers 90° indexing without needing a foot pedal. Each unit consists of four upright posts made from 11 gauge steel, bolted to the base with 1/4" - 20 flat head bolts, and features dual durometer PVC closing strips. A lock assembly with a locking rod is located on the right front post, and all cabinets are random-keyed with a lock bar formed from 3/8" diameter steel rod for durability. The locks have field-removable cores for easy key changes and can be installed on both sides, allowing the unit to be locked in open or closed positions. The EZ2® rotary bottom, which rides atop the base, is supported by 5/8" diameter hardened steel ball bearings; the letter size unit features a 19-1/4" diameter bearing cage with 22 ball bearings, while the legal size unit has a 24" diameter cage with 44 ball bearings. The rotor bottom pivots on a 3/4" diameter pin, ensuring smooth operation.
