The Rotary File Cabinet Adder Unit in bone white is designed for efficient storage, featuring a letter size configuration with five shelves that maximizes space and accessibility. This innovative cabinet employs a double-sided, rotating shelf unit that can accommodate more than twice the files in the same area as traditional systems. The EZ2® base is constructed from 13 gauge steel with U-channel reinforcements, ensuring structural integrity and support. The cross-section of these channels measures 4" wide x 3-1/2" deep, providing a rigid foundation. Each corner is enhanced with a welded 11 gauge gusset for added strength, and four adjustable leveling feet allow for top-level adjustments. The indexing mechanism offers 90° rotation without the need for a foot pedal. Each unit features four upright posts made from 11 gauge steel, equipped with dual durometer PVC closing strips, and bolted securely to the base. A secure lock assembly is positioned conveniently on the right front post, with a random-keyed locking system that allows for key changes. The lock bar is made from 3/8" diameter steel rod, ensuring durability, and locks can be placed on either side of the unit. Additionally, the rotary bottom is supported by 5/8" diameter hardened steel ball bearings, with a 19-1/4" diameter bearing cage containing 22 ball bearings for the letter size unit, while the legal size configuration features a 24" diameter bearing cage with 44 ball bearings. The rotary bottom pivots on a 3/4" diameter pin, facilitating smooth operation.
