The Rotary File Cabinet Adder Unit is designed to efficiently organize and store documents with its innovative double-sided, rotating shelf unit featuring seven shelves in a bone white finish, accommodating letter-sized files and providing quick access to stored materials. The cabinet's base is constructed from 13 gauge steel, reinforced with 13 gauge steel-formed U-channel reinforcements, featuring a cross-section measuring 4" wide x 3-1/2" deep, and is MIG welded to ensure a sturdy structure capable of supporting the cabinet's weight. Each corner of the base is strengthened with a welded 11 gauge gusset, while four adjustable leveling feet allow for leveling from the top of the base. The base mechanism provides 90° indexing of the rotary file cabinet without the need for a foot pedal. The unit is equipped with four upright posts made from 11 gauge steel, secured to the base with dual durometer PVC closing strips and bolted using (2) 1/4" - 20 flat head bolts per post. A lock assembly is conveniently located on the right front post, with a random-keyed lock bar made from 3/8" diameter steel rod for enhanced durability and field-removable core for easy key changes. The rotary bottom is supported by hardened steel ball bearings; the letter size unit features a 19-1/4" diameter bearing cage with 22 ball bearings, while the legal size unit has a 24" diameter bearing cage with 44 ball bearings. The rotor bottom pivots on a robust 3/4" diameter pin.
