The Rotary File Cabinet Adder Unit is designed for letter-sized files and features an innovative double-sided, rotating shelf unit that optimally saves time, space, and resources by accommodating over twice the number of files compared to traditional filing systems while facilitating quick access to stored materials. This unit includes eight shelves and is finished in light gray. The base is constructed from 13 gauge steel with 13 gauge steel-formed U-channel reinforcements, featuring a cross-section of 4" wide x 3-1/2" deep, ensuring structural integrity through MIG welding and welded steel 11 gauge gussets at each corner, which increase strength and stability. The base also includes four adjustable leveling feet for easy leveling and allows for 90° indexing without the need for a foot pedal. The unit's uprights consist of four 11 gauge steel posts equipped with dual durometer PVC closing strips, securely bolted with (2) 1/4" - 20 flat head bolts per post. A lock assembly with a locking rod, located on the right front post, enhances security with a random-keyed system, 3/8" diameter steel rod lock bar for durability, and field-removable core for easy key changes. The EZ2® rotary bottom operates via 5/8" diameter hardened steel ball bearings, with a 19-1/4" diameter bearing cage containing 22 bearings for letter-size units and a 24" diameter cage with 44 bearings for legal-size units, ensuring smooth rotation anchored by a 3/4" diameter pivot pin.
