The Rotary File Cabinet Adder Unit is designed for legal-size files and features five shelves in a sleek black finish. This innovative rotary file system effectively maximizes space while providing quick access to stored documents. The unit includes a robust EZ2® base constructed from 13 gauge steel, enhanced by U-channel reinforcements with a cross-section of 4" wide x 3-1/2" deep, ensuring a durable structure that can support the weight of the cabinet. Each of the four upright posts is made from 11 gauge steel and secured with dual durometer PVC closing strips, bolted in place with 1/4" - 20 flat head bolts. A lock assembly is included, featuring a 3/8" diameter steel rod lock bar for durability, with the option for locks on both sides of the unit, allowing for operation in either an open or closed position. The rotary bottom utilizes 5/8" diameter hardened steel ball bearings, with a 19-1/4" diameter bearing cage containing 22 bearings for the letter-size unit or a 24" diameter cage with 44 bearings for the legal-size unit, pivoting on a 3/4" diameter pin. The cabinet is designed with adjustable leveling feet to ensure stability, and the base mechanism allows for 90° indexing without the need for a foot pedal.
