The Rotary File Cabinet Starter Unit, designed for legal size files, features a sleek bone white finish and includes four shelves. This innovative cabinet utilizes a double-sided, rotating shelf system that efficiently stores over twice as many files compared to traditional filing units, allowing for quick and easy access to documents. The cabinet is built on an EZ2® base made from 13 gauge steel reinforced with U-channel structure, providing a rigid and durable foundation capable of supporting significant weight. Each corner is strengthened with welded 11 gauge gussets, and the base is adjustable with leveling feet for stability. The cabinet operates with a 90° indexing mechanism that does not require a foot pedal for use. It incorporates four upright posts made from 11 gauge steel, equipped with dual durometer PVC closing strips and bolted securely to the base. A lock assembly, located on the right front post, features randomly keyed locks made from durable 3/8" diameter steel rod, which can be installed on either side of the unit, enabling secure locking in open or closed positions. The rotary bottom mechanism is supported by hardened steel ball bearings, with the letter size unit featuring a 19-1/4" diameter bearing cage containing 22 ball bearings, while the legal size unit has a 24" diameter cage with 44 ball bearings, ensuring smooth rotation and operation.
