The Rotary File Cabinet Starter Unit is designed for legal documents, featuring four shelves in a light gray finish. This innovative rotary file system saves time, space, and money by offering a double-sided, rotating shelf unit that accommodates more than twice the files in a compact area compared to traditional filing systems, ensuring quick and easy access to stored materials. The specifications include an EZ2® base constructed from 13 gauge steel with U-channel reinforcements, measuring 4" wide by 3-1/2" deep, providing a sturdy structure capable of supporting the cabinet's weight. The base also features four adjustable leveling feet and enables 90° indexing without a foot pedal. The unit is complemented by four upright posts made from 11 gauge steel, bolted to the base, and equipped with dual durometer PVC closing strips. Each unit comes with a lock assembly conveniently located on the right front post, incorporating a lock bar made from 3/8" diameter steel rod and field-removable core locks that can be installed on both sides for security in either the open or closed position. The EZ2® rotary bottom utilizes 5/8" diameter hardened steel ball bearings for smooth operation, with the letter size unit featuring a 19-1/4" diameter bearing cage comprising 22 ball bearings, while the legal size unit has a 24" diameter bearing cage with 44 ball bearings. The rotor bottom pivots on a 3/4" diameter pin.
