The Rotary File Cabinet Starter Unit is designed for letter-sized files with a bone white finish and features seven shelves, optimizing space while enhancing accessibility. This innovative double-sided, rotating shelf unit can store more than twice the files compared to traditional systems. The particular specifications include the EZ2® base constructed from 13-gauge steel with U-channel reinforcements sized 4" wide by 3-1/2" deep, providing a strong and rigid structure to support the cabinet's weight. It boasts four adjustable leveling feet for easy leveling and a base mechanism that allows for 90° indexing without a foot pedal. The unit incorporates four upright posts made from 11-gauge steel and dual durometer PVC closing strips, secured to the base with 1/4" - 20 flat head bolts. A lock assembly is included for enhanced security, with a lock bar made from 3/8" diameter steel rod, field-removable core for simple key changes, and the capability to lock in both the open and closed positions. The EZ2® rotary bottom operates smoothly on a base supported by hardened steel ball bearings; the letter size unit features a 19-1/4" diameter bearing cage with 22 bearings, while the legal size unit has a 24" diameter bearing cage with 44 bearings, all pivoting on a 3/4" diameter pin.
