The Rotary File Cabinet Adder Unit is designed for letter-sized files and features a bone white finish along with four shelves. This innovative double-sided, rotating shelf unit maximizes file storage capacity while ensuring quick access to materials, taking up less space than traditional filing systems. The specifications include an EZ2® base constructed from 13 gauge steel with 13 gauge steel-formed U-channel reinforcements that measure 4" wide x 3-1/2" deep, providing a rigid structure supported by welded 11 gauge gussets at each corner. Four adjustable leveling feet facilitate easy leveling from the top. The cabinet allows for 90° indexing without the need for a foot pedal. Each unit is equipped with four upright posts made from 11 gauge steel and includes dual durometer PVC closing strips. The posts are bolted to the base using two 1/4" - 20 flat head bolts each, and a lock assembly is conveniently located on the right front post, featuring a lock bar made from 3/8" diameter steel rod for durability. The locks are field-removable for easy key changes and can be installed on both sides of the unit, allowing the cabinet to be locked in either the open or closed position. The rotary bottom rides on the base with support from 5/8" diameter hardened steel ball bearings. The letter size unit has a 19-1/4" diameter bearing cage with 22 ball bearings, while the legal size unit features a 24" diameter cage with 44 ball bearings. The rotor bottom pivots on a 3/4" diameter pin for smooth operation.
