The Rotary File Cabinet Starter Unit is designed for letter-sized files and features a light gray finish with seven shelves. This innovative double-sided, rotating shelf unit optimizes space by accommodating more than twice the files compared to traditional systems while ensuring quick and easy access to stored materials. The specifications include a robust EZ2® base made from 13-gauge steel with U-channel reinforcements, designed with a 4" wide x 3-1/2" deep cross-section, providing a rigid structure to support the cabinet's weight, complemented by welded 11-gauge gussets at each corner for added strength. The cabinet is equipped with four adjustable leveling feet for precise leveling and features a base mechanism that allows for 90° indexing without the need for a foot pedal. The unit incorporates four upright posts constructed from 11-gauge steel, fitted with dual durometer PVC closing strips and bolted to the base with 1/4" - 20 flat head bolts. A convenient lock assembly, featuring a locking rod located on the right front post, ensures security with random-keyed locks that can be installed on either side and can be locked in both open and closed positions. The rotary bottom is fully supported by hardened steel ball bearings, with the letter-size unit featuring a 19-1/4" diameter bearing cage containing 22 ball bearings, while the legal-size unit possesses a 24" diameter bearing cage with 44 ball bearings, pivoting on a 3/4" diameter pin for smooth operation.
