The Rotary File Cabinet Adder Unit is a legal-sized storage solution featuring six shelves and a bone white finish, designed to maximize efficiency by providing a double-sided, rotating shelf unit that accommodates more than twice the files of a traditional system while ensuring quick access to stored materials. The specifications include a base formed from 13 gauge steel, reinforced with 13 gauge steel-formed U-channel reinforcements measuring 4" wide x 3-1/2" deep, fully welded for a robust structure to support the cabinet's weight. Each corner features a welded 11 gauge steel gusset for added strength, alongside four adjustable leveling feet for precise leveling. The base mechanism allows for 90° indexing without the need for a foot pedal. The unit also consists of four upright posts made of 11 gauge steel with dual durometer PVC closing strips, secured to the base with 1/4" - 20 flat head bolts. A modular lock assembly located on the right front post features a lock bar made from 3/8" diameter steel for durability, with a field-removable core for easy key changes and can be installed on both sides, allowing the unit to lock in either position. The rotary bottom is supported by hardened steel ball bearings, with the letter size unit featuring a 19-1/4" diameter bearing cage containing 22 ball bearings and the legal size unit having a 24" diameter bearing cage with 44 ball bearings, pivoting smoothly on a 3/4" diameter pin.
