The Rotary File Cabinet Adder Unit is designed for legal files, featuring six shelves and a sleek black finish. This innovative rotary filing system includes a double-sided, rotating shelf unit that efficiently stores more than twice the files in the same space as a traditional system, facilitating quick access to stored materials. The specifications of the unit include a robust EZ2® base constructed from 13 gauge steel with U-channel reinforcements, each measuring 4" wide x 3-1/2" deep, which provides a sturdy structure capable of supporting the cabinet's weight, complemented by welded steel 11 gauge gussets for added strength. The base features four adjustable leveling feet and supports 90° indexing without a foot pedal. The cabinet's uprights comprise four 11 gauge steel posts, secured with dual durometer PVC closing strips and bolted to the base, including a convenient locking assembly on the right front post. These random-keyed locks are made from a 3/8" diameter steel rod for durability and can be installed on both sides, allowing the unit to lock in either the open or closed position. The rotary bottom is supported by 5/8" diameter hardened steel ball bearings, with the letter size unit featuring a 19-1/4" diameter bearing cage equipped with 22 ball bearings, and the legal size unit having a 24" diameter cage with 44 ball bearings. The rotor bottom pivots on a 3/4" diameter pin for smooth operation.
