The Rotary File Cabinet Starter Unit is designed for letter-sized files and features eight shelves in a bone white finish. The innovative double-sided, rotating shelf unit allows for storage of more than twice the files in less space than traditional filing systems, while enabling fast and easy access to stored materials. The specifications include an EZ2® base constructed from 13 gauge steel with 13 gauge steel-formed U-channel reinforcements measuring 4" wide x 3-1/2" deep, which runs the full length and width of the base. This base is MIG welded to ensure a rigid structure that supports the cabinet's weight, reinforced by 11 gauge steel gussets at each corner for additional strength. Four adjustable leveling feet provide easy leveling from the top, while the base mechanism allows for 90° indexing without the need for a foot pedal. Each unit includes four upright posts made from 11 gauge steel with dual durometer PVC closing strips, bolted to the base, and a lock assembly conveniently located on the right front post. The lock bar is constructed from 3/8" diameter steel rod for maximum durability, featuring a field removable core for easy key changes and the option to install locks on both sides of the unit. The rotary bottom is supported by hardened steel ball bearings, with a 19-1/4" diameter bearing cage containing 22 ball bearings for the letter size unit, enhancing the overall function and durability of the cabinet.
