The Rotary File Cabinet Starter Unit is designed for legal files and features five shelves finished in bone white. Its innovative double-sided, rotating shelf unit allows for housing more than twice the files in less space compared to traditional filing systems while ensuring quick and easy access to stored materials. The specifications include an EZ2® base constructed from 13 gauge steel with robust U-channel reinforcements that measure 4" wide x 3-1/2" deep, which are MIG welded to form a sturdy structure able to bear the weight of the cabinet. At each corner, there are 11 gauge steel gussets enhancing strength and rigidity, alongside four adjustable leveling feet that facilitate leveling from the top of the base. The cabinet provides 90° indexing without requiring a foot pedal. Constructed from 11 gauge steel, the four upright posts are equipped with dual durometer PVC closing strips and are bolted to the base with two 1/4" - 20 flat head bolts per post. A lock assembly, conveniently located on the right front post, features a random-keyed lock bar made from a 3/8" diameter steel rod for added durability, with a field-removable core for easy key changes that can be installed on either side of the unit, allowing it to be locked in both open and closed positions. The rotary bottom incorporates 5/8" diameter hardened steel ball bearings; the letter size unit has a 19-1/4" diameter bearing cage with 22 ball bearings, while the legal size unit features a 24" diameter bearing cage with 44 ball bearings. The rotor bottom pivots on a 3/4" diameter pin for smooth operation.
