The Rotary File Cabinet Starter Unit is designed to optimize storage efficiency, featuring a double-sided, rotating shelf unit that accommodates more than twice the files in less space compared to traditional filing systems, while ensuring quick access to stored materials. This unit includes eight shelves and is constructed in a sleek black finish. The EZ2® base is made from 13 gauge steel, reinforced with 13 gauge steel-formed U-channel reinforcements, featuring a 4" wide x 3-1/2" deep cross-section that runs the full length and width of the base. The base mechanism provides 90° indexing without the need for a foot pedal, and it is further supported by four adjustable leveling feet. Each unit consists of four upright posts made of 11 gauge steel, equipped with dual durometer PVC closing strips, and features a lock assembly with a random-keyed lock bar made from 3/8" diameter steel rod for durability. The lock core is easily removable for key changes and can be installed on both sides of the unit, allowing for locking in either the open or closed position. The rotary bottom moves on top of the base supported by 5/8" diameter hardened steel ball bearings, with the letter size unit incorporating a 19-1/4" diameter bearing cage containing 22 ball bearings.
