The Rotary File Cabinet Starter Unit is designed for legal documents and features six shelves in a light gray finish. This innovative rotary file saves time, space, and money by providing a double-sided, rotating shelf unit that accommodates more than twice the files in a smaller footprint compared to traditional filing systems, ensuring fast and easy access to stored materials. The specifications include a base formed from 13 gauge steel with U-channel reinforcements that measure 4" wide x 3-1/2" deep and run the full length and width of the base, providing a rigid structure capable of supporting the cabinet's weight. Each corner features a welded 11 gauge gusset for added strength, while four adjustable leveling feet allow for easy leveling of the base. The base mechanism allows for 90° indexing of the rotary file cabinet without the need for a foot pedal. The unit includes four upright posts made from 11 gauge steel that are bolted to the base with two 1/4" - 20 flat head bolts per post, dual durometer PVC closing strips, and a lock assembly located on the right front post. The random-keyed lock bar is formed from 3/8" diameter steel rod, ensuring maximum durability, and features a removable core for easy key changes. The rotary bottom is supported by hardened steel ball bearings, with the letter size unit featuring a 19-1/4" diameter bearing cage with 22 ball bearings, while the legal size unit has a 24" diameter bearing cage with 44 ball bearings, both pivoting on a 3/4" diameter pin.
