The Rotary File Cabinet Adder Unit, designed for legal-size files and featuring eight shelves in a bone white finish, is an innovative storage solution that efficiently utilizes space while providing quick access to materials. This kit includes a double-sided, rotating shelf unit that significantly increases file storage capacity compared to traditional systems. The EZ2® base is constructed from 13-gauge steel with 13-gauge steel-formed U-channel reinforcements, featuring a 4" wide x 3-1/2" deep cross-section running the full length and width of the base. The construction includes MIG welded 13-gauge steel channels and 11-gauge welded steel gussets at each corner for enhanced strength. The base accommodates four adjustable leveling feet and incorporates a mechanism for 90° indexing without the need for a foot pedal. The unit comprises four upright posts made from 11-gauge steel and dual durometer PVC closing strips, which are bolted to the base using 1/4" - 20 flat head bolts. A lock assembly with a removable core allows for easy key changes and is located on the right front post; the lock bar, made of 3/8" diameter steel rod, ensures durability and can be installed on either side of the cabinet, allowing it to lock in both the open and closed positions. The EZ2® rotary bottom is supported by 5/8" diameter hardened steel ball bearings, with the letter size unit featuring a 19-1/4" diameter bearing cage containing 22 ball bearings, while the legal size unit includes a 24" diameter bearing cage with 44 ball bearings. The rotor bottom pivots on a 3/4" diameter pin and mating surface.
