The Rotary File Cabinet Adder Unit is designed for legal documents and features eight shelves in a sleek black finish. This innovative rotary file cabinet offers a double-sided, rotating shelf unit that can accommodate more than twice the files of a traditional filing system, enhancing both access and organization. The specifications include a base constructed from 13 gauge steel with 13 gauge steel-formed U-channel reinforcements, featuring a 4" wide x 3-1/2" deep cross-section for exceptional strength. The base is further supported by 11 gauge welded steel gussets at each corner and incorporates four adjustable leveling feet for easy leveling from the top. The indexing mechanism allows for 90° rotation without the need for a foot pedal. The unit is equipped with four upright posts made from 11 gauge steel, featuring dual durometer PVC closing strips. Each post is secured to the base with two 1/4" - 20 flat head bolts. The lock assembly is conveniently placed on the right front post, with a lock bar made from 3/8" diameter steel rod and the option for field removable cores to facilitate easy key changes. The rotary bottom is supported by 5/8" diameter hardened steel ball bearings, with the letter size unit featuring a 19-1/4" diameter bearing cage that includes 22 ball bearings and the legal size unit housing a 24" diameter bearing cage with 44 ball bearings. The rotor bottom pivots on a 3/4" diameter pin for smooth operation.
