The Rotary File Cabinet Adder Unit is designed for letter-sized files and features a light gray finish, incorporating two shelves that optimize space efficiency while ensuring quick access to documents. The cabinet utilizes a robust EZ2® base constructed from 13 gauge steel, reinforced with 13 gauge steel-formed U-channel supports, each channel measuring 4" wide by 3-1/2" deep, ensuring a rigid structure that can withstand substantial weight. Each corner is fortified with an 11 gauge welded steel gusset, and the base is equipped with adjustable leveling feet for optimal stability. The innovative indexing mechanism provides 90° rotation without the need for a foot pedal. The unit includes four upright posts made from 11 gauge steel, featuring dual durometer PVC closing strips and mounted with 1/4"-20 flat head bolts. A lock assembly with a locking rod, located on the right front post, offers security; locks are random-keyed and allow for easy key changes with a field-removable core. The rotor's bottom operates on 5/8" diameter hardened steel ball bearings, with 22 bearings in the letter size unit and 44 in the legal size variant, ensuring smooth operation. The rotary bottom pivots on a 3/4" diameter pin and includes a mating mechanism for seamless functionality.
