The Rotary File Cabinet Starter Unit is designed for letter-sized documents and features a bone white finish with two shelves. This innovative cabinet utilizes a double-sided, rotating shelf unit that can accommodate more than twice the number of files in less space compared to traditional filing systems, ensuring quick and easy access to stored materials. The specifications include a robust EZ2® base constructed from 13 gauge steel with 13 gauge steel-formed U-channel reinforcements having a cross-section of 4" wide x 3-1/2" deep, which are MIG welded to form a rigid structure capable of supporting the cabinet's weight. Each corner is reinforced with an 11 gauge welded steel gusset for added strength, and four adjustable leveling feet allow for easy leveling. The base mechanism enables 90° indexing without the need for a foot pedal. The unit's uprights consist of four 11 gauge steel posts with dual durometer PVC closing strips, securely bolted to the base with two 1/4" - 20 flat head bolts per post. A lock assembly is conveniently positioned on the right front post with random-keyed locks, a 3/8" diameter steel rod lock bar, and a field-removable core for easy key changes, allowing locking from both sides of the unit in either an open or closed position. The EZ2® rotary bottom operates on 5/8" diameter hardened steel ball bearings, with the letter size unit featuring a 19-1/4" diameter bearing cage supported by 22 ball bearings, while the legal size unit has a 24" diameter bearing cage with 44 ball bearings. The rotor bottom pivots on a 3/4" diameter pin, ensuring smooth operation.
