The Rotary File Cabinet Starter Unit is designed for letter-sized files and features two shelves in a sleek black finish. This innovative rotary file system efficiently maximizes space while allowing easy access to stored materials. The cabinet is built on an EZ2® base, constructed from 13 gauge steel with 13 gauge U-channel reinforcements, providing a robust and rigid structure capable of supporting the cabinet's weight. The base includes a 90° indexing mechanism that does not require a foot pedal for operation, alongside four adjustable leveling feet for convenience. The unit comprises four upright posts made from 11 gauge steel, securely bolted to the base, and equipped with dual durometer PVC closing strips. A lock assembly located on the right front post employs a 3/8" diameter steel rod lock bar, allowing for field-removable cores and making it convenient to change keys. The unit can be secured in both open and closed positions. The rotary bottom is supported by a system of hardened steel ball bearings; the letter size unit features a 19-1/4" diameter bearing cage with 22 ball bearings, while the legal size option boasts a 24" diameter bearing cage with 44 ball bearings.
