The Rotary File Cabinet Starter Unit is designed for letter-sized files and features a light gray finish, incorporating two shelves for efficient storage. Its innovative double-sided, rotating shelf unit allows for more than double the file capacity in a compact design compared to traditional filing systems, ensuring quick access to stored materials. The specifications detail that the EZ2® base is constructed from 13 gauge steel with U-channel reinforcements that measure 4" wide by 3-1/2" deep, providing a rigid structure capable of supporting the cabinet's weight. Corner strength is enhanced by welded 11 gauge gussets, and the base includes four adjustable leveling feet for proper alignment. The base mechanism allows for 90° indexing without a foot pedal. Each unit includes four 11 gauge steel upright posts with dual durometer PVC closing strips, which are secured to the base using two 1/4" - 20 flat head bolts per post. A lock assembly with a random-keyed lock bar made from a durable 3/8" diameter steel rod is situated on the right front post, allowing for installation on either side of the unit, and it can be locked in both open and closed positions. The EZ2® rotary bottom operates on 5/8" diameter hardened steel ball bearings, with the letter size unit featuring a 19-1/4" diameter bearing cage containing 22 ball bearings and the legal size unit having a 24" diameter bearing cage with 44 ball bearings. The rotor bottom pivots on a 3/4" diameter pin and a matin for smooth operation.
