The Rotary File Cabinet Adder Unit, designed for legal-sized files, features a bone white finish and includes two shelves. This innovative rotary file unit offers a double-sided, rotating shelf system that significantly enhances storage efficiency, housing over twice the files in a reduced footprint compared to traditional filing solutions while allowing quick access to stored materials. The cabinet is built on an EZ2® base made of 13 gauge steel reinforced with 13 gauge steel U-channel reinforcements, measuring 4" wide x 3-1/2" deep, and welded for superior rigidity. At each corner, 11 gauge steel gussets reinforce the structure, and adjustable leveling feet enable top-level adjustments. The indexing mechanism allows for 90° rotation without the need for a foot pedal. Each unit comprises four upright posts constructed from 11 gauge steel, featuring dual durometer PVC closing strips and secured with 1/4" - 20 flat head bolts. A convenient lock assembly is located on the right front post, with random-keyed locks made from 3/8" diameter steel rod for durability; these locks feature removable cores for easy key changes and can be installed on both sides, allowing the unit to be locked in either open or closed positions. The rotary bottom is supported by 5/8" diameter hardened steel ball bearings, with the letter size unit equipped with a 19-1/4" diameter cage containing 22 ball bearings, while the legal size unit has a 24" diameter cage with 44 ball bearings, pivoting on a 3/4" diameter pin.
