The rotary file cabinet adder unit is designed for legal files and features two shelves with a sleek black finish. This innovative filing system utilizes a double-sided, rotating shelf unit that accommodates more than twice the files in a compact space while ensuring fast and easy access to stored materials. Specifications include a base constructed from 13 gauge steel with 13 gauge steel-formed U-channel reinforcements, featuring a 4" wide x 3-1/2" deep cross-section that spans the full length and width of the base. These channels are MIG welded to form a rigid structure capable of supporting the cabinet's weight, complemented by welded 11 gauge steel gussets at each corner for added strength and rigidity. The base includes four adjustable leveling feet for easy leveling, and it allows for 90° indexing of the rotary file without requiring a foot pedal. The unit is equipped with four upright posts made from 11 gauge steel and features dual durometer PVC closing strips. These posts are secured to the base with (2) 1/4" - 20 flat head bolts each. A lock assembly with a removable core, which allows for easy key changes, is conveniently located on the right front post; it is random-keyed for security. The lock bar is made from a durable 3/8" diameter steel rod, and locks can be installed on both sides of the unit, enabling it to be locked in either the open or closed position. The EZ2® rotary bottom sits atop the base and is fully supported by 5/8" diameter hardened steel ball bearings, with a 19-1/4" diameter bearing cage featuring 22 ball bearings for letter size and a 24" diameter bearing cage with 44 ball bearings for legal size. The rotary bottom pivots on a 3/4" diameter pin and a mating steel component.
