The Rotary File Cabinet Adder Unit is designed for legal file storage and features two shelves in a light gray finish. This innovative rotary file cabinet maximizes space by offering more than double the storage capacity compared to traditional filing systems while ensuring fast and easy access to stored materials. The specifications include an EZ2® base constructed from 13 gauge steel, reinforced with 13 gauge steel U-channel supports measuring 4" wide by 3-1/2" deep, which run the full length and width of the cabinet. These channels are MIG welded to form a rigid structure that can support the weight of the unit. Each corner features an 11 gauge welded steel gusset for added strength, and the base is equipped with four adjustable leveling feet for easy leveling. The design allows for 90° indexing without the need for a foot pedal. The unit is equipped with four upright posts made from 11 gauge steel, secured to the base with two 1/4" - 20 flat head bolts per post, and includes dual durometer PVC closing strips. A lock assembly with a locking rod is conveniently placed on the right front post, featuring random-keyed locks with a durable 3/8" diameter steel rod lock bar and removable cores for easy key changes. The rotary bottom sits atop the base, supported by 5/8" diameter hardened steel ball bearings; the letter size version has a 19-1/4" diameter bearing cage with 22 ball bearings, while the legal size features a 24" diameter cage with 44 ball bearings. The rotor pivots on a 3/4" diameter pin and a mating surface, providing smooth operation.
