Rotary file cabinet starter unit, legal, 8 shelves, bone white, is designed to save time, space, and money with its innovative double-sided, rotating shelf unit that holds over twice the files in less space than traditional filing systems while ensuring quick access to stored materials. Key specifications include an EZ2® base constructed from 13 gauge steel with U-channel reinforcements measuring 4" wide x 3-1/2" deep, fully MIG welded to create a rigid structure, supported by 11 gauge steel gussets at each corner and adjustable leveling feet for even stability. The cabinet features (4) upright posts made from 11 gauge steel, equipped with dual durometer PVC closing strips, bolted to the base with 1/4" - 20 flat head bolts. A lock assembly with a locking rod located on the right front post ensures security, utilizing a lock bar made from 3/8" diameter steel and field removable core for easy key changes. Additionally, the EZ2® rotary bottom is supported by 5/8" diameter, hardened steel ball bearings, with the letter size unit housing a 19-1/4" diameter bearing cage containing 22 ball bearings, while the legal size unit features a 24" diameter bearing cage with 44 ball bearings. The rotor bottom pivots on a 3/4" diameter pin, facilitating smooth operation.
