The Rotary File Cabinet Starter Unit, designed for legal-size documents, features eight shelves in a sleek black finish. This unit employs an innovative double-sided, rotating design that maximizes storage efficiency, allowing it to house more than twice the files compared to traditional systems while offering quick access to stored materials. The cabinet’s base, the EZ2®, is constructed from 13-gauge steel and reinforced with 13-gauge U-channel reinforcements, ensuring a rigid structure capable of supporting the cabinet's weight. The channels, which measure 4" wide x 3-1/2" deep, are MIG welded for strength, with added support from 11-gauge gussets at each corner. Four adjustable leveling feet enable precise leveling from the top, and the base mechanism allows for 90° indexing without the need for a foot pedal. The unit includes four upright posts made of 11-gauge steel, equipped with dual durometer PVC closing strips, and is secured to the base with two 1/4" -20 flat head bolts per post. A lock assembly is conveniently located on the right front post, featuring a lock bar made from 3/8" diameter steel rod for increased durability, and allowing for field-removable core changes. The EZ2® rotary bottom is supported by hardened steel ball bearings, with the letter size unit featuring a 19-1/4" diameter bearing cage containing 22 ball bearings, while the legal size unit has a 24" diameter bearing cage with 44 ball bearings. The rotary bottom pivots on a robust 3/4" diameter pin.
