The Rotary File Cabinet Starter Unit is designed to maximize efficiency and organization, featuring a double-sided, rotating shelf unit with six shelves that accommodates letter-sized files while occupying less space than traditional filing systems. The cabinet's base is constructed from 13 gauge steel and reinforced with 13 gauge steel U-channel supports with a cross-section of 4" wide x 3-1/2" deep, ensuring a robust and stable structure. Four adjustable leveling feet allow for precise leveling, and a mechanism enables 90° indexing without the need for a foot pedal. Each unit is equipped with four upright posts made from 11 gauge steel, secured with two 1/4" - 20 flat head bolts per post, along with a lock assembly conveniently positioned on the right front post for ease of access. The lock bar is crafted from 3/8" diameter steel rod, and the locks feature a field-removable core for simple key changes, with the capability to be installed on either side of the unit. The rotary bottom utilizes 5/8" diameter hardened steel ball bearings for smooth operation, with the letter size unit featuring a 19-1/4" diameter bearing cage containing 22 ball bearings, while the legal size unit has a 24" diameter bearing cage with 44 ball bearings.
